What is EscrowZW?
EscrowZW is a secure payment platform that acts as a trusted third party in online transactions. We hold funds from the buyer securely and only release them to the seller when the buyer receives their goods or services securely.
How do I create a new deal?
From the mobile app or web dashboard, click the "New Deal" button. You will need to enter a description of the goods, the price in USD, and critically, the Seller's Account Number (e.g. ES-1234567890).
Payments & Processing
What payment methods do you support?
We utilize Paynow's robust payment gateway to support EcoCash, OneMoney, O'mari, InnBucks, and Zimswitch.
How are funds disbursed to sellers?
Once the buyer confirms receipt of the item, the deal is marked as "Completed." The funds, minus the 2% platform fee, are instantly channeled to the seller's registered Zimswitch or Mobile Money account on file.
Disputes & Protection
What happens if the seller doesn't deliver the item?
As a buyer, your funds are safely locked in EscrowZW. If the item isn't delivered within the agreed timeframe, you can click "Open Dispute" in the transaction detail screen. The funds cannot be released to the seller while a dispute is active.
How does EscrowZW resolve a dispute?
If the buyer and seller cannot reach an amicable agreement, our mediation team steps in. We will request proof of delivery from the seller and proof of non-delivery/defective goods from the buyer to make an objective ruling on the refund or disbursement.
